Be Inspired - Asheville

The city of Asheville inspires us to be true to ourselves, to discover our authentic self.  Its grand mountains encourage us to seek out the greatness that lies within each of us. Sometimes, however, we can further benefit from some personal inspiration, that motivating force that moves us in the direction that suits us best.

Well, maybe Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, or Mahatma Gandhi,  just to name a few, can give us that needed a boost. Try these quotes on for size:

ALBERT EINSTEIN:  “Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value.”

MAHATMA GANDHI:  “Live as if you were to die tomorrow.  Learn as if you were to live forever.”

OSCAR WILDE:  “Be yourself.  Everyone else is already taken.”

DR. SEUSS:  ” Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

MARK TWAIN:  “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”

COCO CHANEL:  “In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”

MICHAEL JORDAN:  “You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.”

NATHANIEL HAWTHORNE:  Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.”

Even though we are all uniquely different, and our journeys may take us in different directions, we can learn from one another.  Steven Jobs refers to connecting the dots as we move along life’s path.  Let’s trust that as our personal lives cross with one another, we can help inspire and motivate each other down the chosen path.

STEVEN JOBS:  “You can’t connect the dots looking forward;  you can only connect them looking backward.  So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.  You have to trust in something —your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.  This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
