Asheville is such an awesome city for so many reasons. Its beautiful mountains are definitely one of them. People seem to gravitate to the outdoors to clear their minds and just feel better overall. Surrounding yourself with these wondrous mountains and natural waterfalls and streams can make you feel healthier and happier.
Many believe that returning to nature can heal the body and mind while allowing us to also experience personal growth. Our levels of stress are lowered, and so physically we just feel better. We also have lower levels of fear and anxiety, unless, of course, a black bear is standing across from you.
Another plus……when you witness the wonders of nature, it brings out our positive emotions such as humility and altruism. That helps us to be kinder to others. So we feel better, and those around us feel better……how good is that?
